Warriors Finish Strong in Tucson; Bravo Hits 500 Career Strikeouts

TUCSON, Ariz. – Indiana Tech closed out its Tucson trip with a pair of wins on Friday, defeating Westcliff (Calif.) 7–3 before edging Midland 1–0 in eight innings. The Warriors improved to 15–8 overall with the victories while also celebrating a milestone performance from pitcher Savannah Bravo, who recorded the 500th strikeout of her career in the second game.

In the opening game, Indiana Tech rallied from an early deficit to earn a 7–3 win over Westcliff. The Warriors trailed 3–0 through three innings before the offense began to respond. Carlye Walter sparked the comeback with an RBI triple down the left field line to score Mae Griffore, and Alyssa Harvey followed with an RBI single to cut the deficit to one.

Indiana Tech tied the game in the fifth inning when Allison Davis delivered an RBI single to bring home Victoria Boyer. The Warriors then broke things open in the sixth inning. Alyssa Fox drove in a run with a single before Morgan Macek came through with a two-run single up the middle to give Indiana Tech the lead. Macek later scored on a wild pitch to cap the four-run inning.

Macek led the offense with three hits and two RBIs, while Harvey added two hits and an RBI. Walter also contributed an RBI triple in the comeback effort. In the circle, Mallory Stinson went the distance, allowing three runs—none earned—while striking out seven to earn the win.

The Warriors wrapped up their Tucson schedule with a pitching duel against Midland, ultimately pulling out a 1–0 extra-inning victory. Both teams were held scoreless through seven innings before Indiana Tech broke through in the eighth. Kiersten Delaney reached base and later came around to score on a sacrifice fly from Avery Kidwell, giving the Warriors the decisive run.

Bravo was dominant in the circle, tossing eight shutout innings, allowing just two hits, and striking out seven batters. During the outing, Bravo also recorded the 500th strikeout of her collegiate career, marking a significant milestone while securing the win for Indiana Tech.

With the victories, the Warriors concluded their Tucson trip on a strong note and will look to carry that momentum into their next stretch of the season.
