SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Indiana Tech men's volleyball team fell to No. 11 Ottawa University Arizona in four sets on Saturday.
OUAZ held a slight 14-13 lead before a 7-2 run extended the advantage to 21-15. Indiana Tech cut the lead to 23-20, but OUAZ would take the first set 25-20.
OUAZ jumped out to a 12-4 lead in set four. OUAZ would cruise to a 25-15 second set win.
With the third set tied at 12-12, Indiana Tech used a 9-2 run to take a 21-14 lead. Indiana Tech would take the third set 25-17.
Indiana Tech led 18-15 in the fourth set, but OUAZ used a 7-1 run to take a 22-19 lead. Indiana Tech came back to tie the set at 23-23, 24-24, and 25-25, but OUAZ didn't let Tech take set point as the Spirit took the fourth set 27-25 and the match 3-1.
Logan Gieseke led Indiana Tech with 13 kills and 8.0 blocks.
Dylan Poore added nine kills, and
Zack Karns had five.
Bo O'Leary added 7.0 blocks, and
Zack Karns had 4.0.
Nolan Bosley led Indiana Tech with 30 assists and seven digs.
Indiana Tech falls to 11-7 overall. The Warriors return to action on Tuesday at Defiance.
