Men’s Lax Cruises Past Saints 24-7

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #10 Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team cruised to victory on Wednesday night with a 24-7 drubbing over Siena Heights University.

After a quick Saints goal in the opening two minutes, Tech would rattle off eight straight goals and nine out of ten to go up 9-2 at halftime. In the second half, the Warriors would control the tempo again, scoring six goals in the third quarter and nine in the fourth quarter. The defense would limit the Saints to just seven goals as Tech would take care of business on their home turf. Reice Hafl was setting up teammates left and right, posting a team high six assists. He also scored two goals to lead the team with eight points, while also securing four ground balls and one caused turnover. Cam Fewster had an all-around game for the Warriors, finishing with seven points on four goals and three assists, six ground balls, and three caused turnovers. Evan Haney (1 G, 1 A) and Ty Lawrence both had seven ground balls, while Gavin Niezer had four caused turnovers. Cark Drumgoole picked up the win in goal for Tech, making eight saves.

The Warriors improve to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in WHAC play. Up next, Tech will host the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday, March 21st on Warrior Athletic Field at 1pm.
