Indiana Tech Women’s Basketball Wins WHAC Tournament Championship

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team defeated Rochester Christian 76-48 to win the WHAC Conference Tournament Championship for the sixth time in the last eight seasons.
 
Indiana Tech led 8-5 halfway through the first quarter before going on a 7-0 run to extend their lead to 15-5. Tech led 15-9 after the first quarter.
 
Indiana Tech led 20-11 with five minutes to go in the second. RCU cut the lead to five at 22-17, but Indiana Tech closed the half with back-to-back threes to take a 28-17 lead.
 
Indiana Tech opened the second half with an 8-2 run to extend their lead to 36-19. Leading 36-20, Tech scored ten straight points to extend their lead to 46-20. Tech led 55-30 after three quarters.
 
Indiana Tech would go on to cruise to a 76-48 win to secure the WHAC Conference Tournament Championship.
 
Madison Vice led Indiana Tech with 20 points on 7-11 shooting, including 5-9 from three. Ryan Moorer had 17 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, and Taylor Covington added 15 points.
 
Indiana Tech heads into the NAIA Tournament with a 26-5 record. The Warriors will find out where they are headed during the NAIA Selection Show on March 5 on 8:00 PM.
