Indiana Tech Rallies to Secure Conference Sweep

Indiana Tech put together a strong all-around performance on Saturday, earning a conference sweep over Cornerstone behind timely hitting, solid defense, and dominant pitching.

In game one, the Warriors faced early adversity after surrendering a two-run home run in the opening inning but quickly settled in. Indiana Tech responded in the fourth, stringing together quality at-bats as Kiersten Delaney, Alyssa Fox, and Mikayla Cvitanovich each drove in runs to take the lead. The offense added insurance in the sixth when Avery Kidwell delivered a clutch two-RBI single to extend the advantage. In the circle, Savannah Bravo was in control from start to finish, striking out 10 while allowing just two runs in a complete-game effort to secure the 5-2 win.

Game two saw Indiana Tech jump out early with runs in the first inning, highlighted by RBI efforts from Haylee Pruitt and Carlye Walter. Walter continued to lead the offense with a standout performance at the plate. After holding the lead through the middle innings, the Warriors faced a challenge in the sixth as Cornerstone used a three-run frame to take a 4-3 lead. Indiana Tech responded immediately, showing resilience and composure by capitalizing on key opportunities to plate three runs of their own. Victoria Boyer delivered a key RBI single during the rally to help reclaim the lead. Mallory Stinson earned the win in relief, while Walter closed the door to secure the 6-4 victory.

The sweep highlights Indiana Tech's ability to respond to adversity and execute in key moments on both sides of the ball. With contributions throughout the lineup and strong performances in the circle, the Warriors continue to build momentum as WHAC play progresses. Indiana Tech returns home on Sunday, March 28th for a conference doubleheader against Aquinas.
