ADRIAN, Mich. – The #8 Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team was back on the road this weekend as they played on the campus of Siena Heights University, where the Warriors picked up another conference win.
Tech started out strong defensively with a first quarter shutout as they led 4-0 after 15 minutes of play. Siena Heights would get on the board in the second quarter, but the Warriors would take the quarter 5-3 and go up 9-3 at the half. The Warriors would dominate in the second half, specifically the fourth quarter, which was 7-1 in favor of the Orange & Black. Tech would come away with a 20-6 win on the road, spearheaded by the trio of
Cam Fewster,
Reice Hafl, and
Ryan Tedesco. Fewster had a team high ten points and eight assists, while also adding two goals, while Hafl and Tedesco each had nine points. Hafl would lead the scoring with five goals, while adding four assists, and Tedesco would score a hattrick and add six assists.
Simon Watson led the Warriors defense with three caused turnovers and six ground balls.
Gavin Niezer also had three caused turnovers and picked up two ground balls.
Sam Park picked up the win in goal for Tech making seven saves. He also had three ground balls and a caused turnover.
The Warriors improve to 8-5 overall and 6-2 in WHAC play. They will face off against the University of Michigan-Dearborn on the road in their next game on Wednesday, April 15
th at 7pm in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
