MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's volleyball team concluded their regular season with a sweep of No. 10 Bethel on Saturday for their second top 10 sweep this week.
Indiana Tech jumped out to a 15-8 lead in set one. Bethel cut the lead to 15-12, but a 7-1 run gave Tech a 22-13 lead. Indiana Tech would take the first set 25-16.
Bethel led 12-11 in the second set before Indiana Tech used a 4-0 run to take a 15-12 advantage. With Tech holding a narrow 17-16 lead, the Warriors used a 5-0 run to extend their lead to 22-16. Bethel came back to cut the lead to one at 23-22 and 24-23, but Indiana Tech took the second set 25-23.
The third set was tied 10-10 before a 6-1 Indiana Tech run gave the Warriors a 16-11 lead. Bethel cut the lead to two at 18-16, but Indiana Tech responded with a 5-1 run to take a 23-17 lead. The Warriors would take set three 25-19 and the match 3-0.
Dylan Poore led Indiana Tech with 16 kills.
Kristian Kold added nine kills, and
Zack Karns had five. Karns led Tech with 5.0 blocks, and
Logan Gieseke added 4.0.
Nolan Bosley had a team-high 37 assists and also added 3.0 blocks.
Alex Rosenow had a team-high eight digs.
Indiana Tech closes the regular season 21-8 and 15-3 in WHAC play. The Warriors will be the two seed and will receive a first-round bye in the WHAC Tournament, which begins on Tuesday.
