Farrell Becomes All-Time Assist Leader in Blowout Home Win Over Bethel

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #6 Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team hosted the Bethel University Pilots for their second meeting of the season Wednesday afternoon. After winning 18-5 in their first matchup on March 21st, Tech completed the season sweep with a 19-3 win at home on a day where junior midfielder, Michelle Farrell, became the program's all-time leader in assists!

Farrell would grab the headline for her record-breaking accomplishment, but the win over Bethel was a total team effort. Eleven different Warriors would score a goal in the game and 12 would record at least one point. Tech played a nearly perfect game and led 14-0 at halftime. The Pilots managed to break the shutout in the third quarter, but the Warriors would cruise to victory with everyone getting in on the action. Kylie King and Brook Maul each had three goals and three points in the game, while Jada Pope led all players with five points, scoring two goals and adding three assists. Farrell would finish with four points, scoring two goals and two assists, while leading the team in ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (4). Addie Creech led the Warriors with six draw controls and also picked up an assist, while Jessica Leigh had five draw controls, two goals, and one assist. Defenders Gabby Hitchcock, Emma Kinder, and Cyn'Cere McRae would get in on the action offensively as well, each scoring one goal for the Warriors. Kat Hoff picked up the win in goal, making two saves and grabbing one ground ball.

The Warriors improve to 8-4 on the season and are now 6-2 in WHAC play. Up next, Tech will host Madonna University on senior day, Saturday, April 18th at 2:30pm at Warrior Athletic Field.
