Big Bats Lead Indiana Tech to Sweep Over Cleary

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Indiana Tech picked up a doubleheader sweep over Cleary on Friday at Warrior Park, earning a 9–1 run-rule victory in Game 1 before rallying for a 13–9 extra-inning win in Game 2.

The Warriors set the tone early in the opener, getting on the board in the first inning as Alyssa Harvey scored on an error. Indiana Tech added to its lead in the second when Harvey delivered an RBI double to bring home Kaelie Kugler. After pushing across two more runs in the fifth, the Warriors broke the game open with a five-run sixth inning. Carlye Walter and Haylee Pruitt each drove in runs during the rally, while Kiersten Delaney capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly that brought in two.

Harvey led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, scoring three times and adding an RBI, while Walter finished with three hits and two RBI. In the circle, Savannah Bravo was dominant, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out seven over six innings to secure her 18th win of the season.

Game 2 proved to be a much different battle, as Cleary jumped out to a 4–0 lead through the first two innings. Indiana Tech responded in the third, scoring four runs to even the game. Morgan Macek drove in the first run before Walter launched a two-run home run to tie it at 4–4.

The Warriors kept the momentum rolling in the fourth, plating four more runs to take an 8–4 lead behind a two-run double from Harvey and additional RBI from Cabrera and Kiersten Delaney.
