CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The 12 seed Indiana Tech fell to 4 seed Missouri Valley 3-0 to open the 2026 Men's Volleyball Championship Pool Play on Tuesday.
Indiana Tech took a 13-8 lead in the first set. With the Warriors ahead 16-11, Missouri Valley used a 5-0 run to tie the set at 16-16. Indiana Tech led 21-19, but a 6-0 Missouri Valley run gave the Vikings a 25-21 set win.
Missouri Valley led 16-11 in the second set. Indiana Tech was able to cut the lead to two at 22-20, but Missouri Valley would take the second set 25-21.
Missouri Valley led 12-6 in the third set. The Vikings extended their lead to seven at 17-10. Indiana Tech cut the lead to three at 23-20, but Missouri Valley would take the set 25-20 and the match 3-0.
Dylan Poore led Indiana Tech with 12 kills and two aces.
Logan Gamero added seven kills and a team-high 4.0 blocks.
Nolan Bosley had 35 assists, and
Alex Rosenow led the team with seven digs.
Indiana Tech falls to 22-10. The Warriors return to action on Wednesday against 5 seed Campbellsville.
