FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Senior setter
Nolan Bosley set the program single season assist record as the Indiana Tech men's volleyball team swept No. 7 Lourdes on Tuesday.
Lourdes took a 15-11 lead in the first set. With Lourdes leading 19-16, Indiana Tech used a 5-2 run to tie the set at 21-21. With the score tied at 23-23, Indiana Tech scored back-to-back points to take the first set 25-23.
Lourdes led 6-2 in the second set. Indiana Tech stormed back to take a 16-13 lead. Lourdes cut the lead to one at 20-19, but a 4-1 run extended the Tech lead to 24-20. Indiana Tech took the second set 25-22.
Indiana Tech took a 10-4 lead in the third set. Leading 18-13, Indiana Tech used a 7-1 run to take the third set 25-14 and the match 3-0.
Dylan Poore led Indiana Tech with 11 kills. Both
Logan Gieseke and
Kristian Kold each had nine kills apiece.
Logan Gamero had a team-high 5.0 blocks. Both
Zack Karns and
Nolan Bosley had 4.0 blocks.
Nolan Bosley had 34 assists to set the program single season assist record.
Jensen Yarosh had seven digs, and
Kristian Kold had three aces.
Indiana Tech moves to 19-8 overall and 13-3 in WHAC play. The Warriors return to action on Friday at Goshen.
