MARION, Ind. – The Indiana Tech baseball team fell to Indiana Wesleyan 12-6 on Tuesday.
Indiana Tech took a 1-0 lead in the second on an RBI double by
Brycen Hannah. An RBI fielder's choice by
Dane Richards made it 2-0.
IWU scored four runs in the second to take a 4-2 lead. The Cougars scored three more runs in the third to extend their lead to 7-2. Two more runs in the fourth made it 10-2.
An RBI single by
Ben Hammond in the fifth made it 10-3. A two-RBI single by
Derek Ruiz made it 10-5.
IWU scored two runs in the sixth to make it 12-5.

Derek Ruiz made it 12-6, but Indiana Tech could not get any closer as IWU secured the win.
Ryder Lukasik led Indiana Tech with three hits.
Derek Ruiz drove in three runs.
Andrew VanOeveren got the start and took the loss, allowing six earned runs in two innings.
Dean Sommer followed in relief, allowing two earned runs in three innings.
Colton Okes threw a scoreless inning, and
Gary Glaser III followed with two scoreless innings.
Indiana Tech falls to 22-12 overall. The Warriors return to action on Wednesday for a home contest against IU Kokomo.
