PRESTONSBURG, Ky. – The Indiana Tech women's golf team opened their season with a first-place finish at the Maggie Mountain Invitational, hosted by Alice Lloyd. This is Indiana Tech's first first-place finish as a team since September of 2024.
Indiana Tech led after Round One with a team score of +57.
Tori Cousino led the way with an 84.
Mackensy Mabie shot an 86,
Sophia Kay shot an 87, and
Ava Barlow shot an 88 to round out the top four.
Indiana Tech had a sensational Round Two, shooting a +43 to take home the victory by 28 strokes over second place Ohio Christian.
Sophia Kay and
Ava Barlow both shot an 80, Makensy Mabie shot an 84, and
Tori Cousino shot an 87 to round out the top four.
Sophia Kay finished second as an individual with a +23.
Ava Barlow finished third at +24, and
Mackensy Mabie finished tied for fourth at +26.
Tori Cousino finished seventh at +27, and
Gia DeProsperis finished 14th at +64.
Indiana Tech returns to action on Sept. 14 at Lindsey Wilson.
