The freshman from Norwalk, Ohio proved to be a consistent and versatile contributor for the team, making an impact both defensively and offensively and helping the Warriors to a 7-4 record in September. She started the month against Lourdes with 31 assists, 9 digs, 3 total blocks, and a .500 hitting percentage with 3 kills. Against Milligan on 9/5, she posted a monthly high 46 assists, adding 5 digs and 1 block, while maintaining a .800 hitting percentage with 4 kills. Matlack delivered a standout effort against Northwestern Ohio on 9/12, recording a career high 15 digs and 3 total blocks, in addition to 38 assists. She closed the month with solid performances against the University of Puerto Rico and Madonna, totaling 43 assists and 14 digs. Overall, Matlack posted 254 assists, 68 digs, 12 kills, 8 aces, 7 blocks over ten games and 33 sets played in the month, averaging 25.4 assists per game! She has also been named WHAC Setter of the Week twice so far this season!
