Broaden, a senior sprinter, capped off a spectacular career with Most Valuable Performance honors after earning 35 points to help the Warrior men capture their third NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in four years. The Indianapolis native would take first in the 200 meters with a school record time of 20.66 while anchoring the national champion 4x100 and 4x400m relays. He would garner All-American honors in the 100m with a fourth-place finish.
 
Earlier in the month at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Outdoor Championships, the North Central High School product would win the 100 and 200m while anchoring the 4x100 as Tech won its fourth straight conference title.
