Box Score Palos Heights, Ill. –Three days after scoring seven goals, six in the first half, the Indiana Tech women's soccer team was shut out in a 0-0 tie against the Trolls of Trinity Christian College at Schaff Field. The game was called a tie after regulation due to the extreme weather conditions.

With the tie the Warriors move to 1-0-1 on the season while the Trolls move to 0-0-1 on the young season.

In the first half it was all Trinity Christian as the Trolls outshot Tech 13-4 including a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. The young Warrior defense was tested early and often, but they didn't allow a goal as senior keeper Jordan Roell (Guilford, Ind.) recorded four saves in the half to keep the score all square.

The orange and black were able to put some pressure on the Trolls in the second half amassing nine shots compared to just two for TCC, with the Warriors putting three on net while both of Trinity Christian's shots were on goal.

Roell faced 15 shots and made six saves in her first full game of the 2013 season while Tori Singstock (Southgate, Mich.) led all players with five shots while putting two on goal. Megan Perrey (Avon, Ind.) put all three of her shots on net while Natalie Zimmerman (Berkley, Mich.) added one shot.

"It was 100 degrees on the field today and made for tough conditions this early in the season," stated Tech Head Coach Jim Lipocky. "I was proud of our defense; they played really well, especially Nicole Price (Crestwood, Ill.) who filled in for us at the defense midfield. I used the entire bench tonight and it was great to see everyone chip in and work for the tie."

The Warriors return home on Friday, Aug. 30 when they host Goshen College at 7 p.m. The orange and black won the exhibition against the Maple Leafs last week at the Fort Wayne Soccer Festival, 4-0.
