Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. –The Indiana Tech women's soccer team defeated the Foresters' of Huntington University, 1-0, on Wednesday night at Warrior Field. With the victory the Warriors improve to 3-0-1 while the Foresters fall to 1-3.
It was another slow start for the Warriors, who dominated the possession in the first half with a huge advantage in shots, 18-5, but held just a 6-4 advantage in shots on frame.

It wasn't until the 26th minute that the Warriors were able to capitalize. Tori Singstock took her fourth corner kick of the half, this time a low liner into the box and a Forester handball gave the Orange and Black a penalty kick. Singstock took the kick and drilled home her fifth goal of the season in the upper 90 on the right side of the net.

While the Foresters had limited chances, all but one of them was on frame, including an impressive punch save by Warriors' goalkeeper Jordan Roell. The Warriors' also had several point blank chances, however, Tech failed to finish their shots and Huntington goalkeeper Caitlin Adams matched Roell save for save.

It was a different story in the second half as the Foresters dominated play paying better possession soccer and turning the solid time of possession into several opportunities, but couldn't convert as Roell made save after save to preserve the 1-0 lead for Indiana Tech.

A late breakaway by Huntington's Alyssa Krause gave the Tech fans a scare; however, Roell stood tall and made the stop to secure her second shutout of the season.

Tech outshot Huntington 28-18 for the game, but the Foresters held the edge in shots on frame 14-10. Roell made 10 second half saves, 14 overall, while Adams stopped nine shots. Singstock, who entered third in the nation in shots per game, tallied 10 more tonight, but just three were on frame.

The Warriors return to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 7 at noon when they travel to Elgin, Ill. to face the Eagles of Judson University.
