Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. – The Indiana Tech softball team concluded play at the NTC Spring games on Monday with a pair of losses at Hancock Park, falling to Mount Mercy, 4-1 before dropping a game to Concordia for the second time in two days, 7-4.

GAME 1 | TECH 1, MOUNT MERCY 4 |

The Mustangs (10-7) of Mount Mercy scored two runs in the second and two more in the seventh for four runs on 11 hits while the Warriors (2-9) scored their lone run in the sixth, tallying five hits while committing one error.

Three hits led to two runs in the second inning for the visitors and after Tech got its tally in the sixth, Mount Mercy added two more runs on three hits and a Warriors error for the final 4-1 margin of victory.

Bailey Dembinski got things started with a one-out triple and came around to score on an RBI groundout by Sofia Johantgen one batter later. Tech had an opportunity to add more as a pair of singles and a walk loaded the bases, however, the Warriors couldn't get the big hit they needed.

Tori Simper (1-3) took the loss for Tech as she pitched all seven innings, allowing four runs on 11 hits while walking two and striking out two. Brianna Bemiss (1-0) got the win for the Mustangs as she allowed one run on two hits over 5 2/3 innings, walking three with one strikeout.

Offensively, Dembinksi did all the damage for Tech as she tallied two hits, scoring the lone run for the Warriors. Juliaclare Plezbert, Jenevie Rivas and Simper all recorded one hit each.

GAME 2 | TECH 4, CUAA 7 |

In the second game of the day, Tech scored first, tallying three runs in the first and one in the second for a total of four runs on six hits while committing five errors. On the other side, Concordia tallied five runs in the third and one each in the fourth and sixth for seven runs on six hits while also making four errors.

Dembinski was the catalyst again for the Warriors as she led off the contest with a walk, reaching second on a Johantgen ground out. After a pair of singles and a walk loaded the bases, Kayla Feeney then delivered the big hit Tech was looking for, with a two-out, two-run single for the 2-0 lead. A Cardinals error allowed Rion Williams to reach base and plated Rivas for the third run of the game.

Concordia stranded a runner in the bottom of the inning and Tech promptly added their fourth run in the second. Dembinski started things again with a one-out double, reaching third on an error and coming around to score on a Johantgen RBI single.

The lead was short-lived as Concordia added five runs on three hits and two errors in the third, one more on two hits and another error in the fourth and their final tally came in the sixth on one hit.

Rivas (0-2) took the loss for Tech as she allowed five runs, two earned, allowing just two hits in 2 1/3 innings while Alli Watson allowed one unearned run on three hits in 1 2/3 innings and Katie Bird finished the contest, allowing one run on one hit in her two innings of work.
Corrina Rotondo (7-3) got the win as she allowed four runs, two earned, on six hits while walking three against six strikeouts in seven innings.

Dembinski finished 1-for-2 with two runs scored while Plezbert led the Warriors with two hits in four at-bats, scoring a run.

The Warriors return to the field on Saturday, Mar. 29 as they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to take on Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe, Davenport in a conference doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
