Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LIVONIA, Mich. – The Indiana Tech softball team dropped two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference games at Madonna University on Thursday. The Warriors were shutout 5-0 in game one, and lost 11-3 in a five-inning game two.

GAME ONE | MU 5, IT 0 

The Crusaders (28-7, 14-2 WHAC) out-hit the Warriors (6-19, 4-10) 11-4 in the game and scored three in the sixth inning.

Bailey Dembinski and Patrice Suplicki led the offense with two hits each for the Warriors.

For Madonna, Kasey Trierweiler led the Crusaders going two for three, scoring two runs and had one RBI.

Taylor Craven (0-2) pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed 11 hits and five runs. Madonna pitcher Bree Crampton (15-5) pitched all seven innings and struck out 12.

GAME TWO | MU 11, IT 3 (5)

The Warriors allowed five hits in the first, and four in the second and finished the game with three errors. Indiana Tech out-hit Madonna 9-8 in the game and got on the board in the fifth inning with three runs to avoid being shut out in both games.

Sofia Johangten, Dembinski, and Tori Simper each scored a run for Indiana Tech. Simper, who went 2-for-2 and scored a run while Suplicki went 2-for-3 and had two RBIs, to lead the Warriors offense.

Emma Cook led the Crusaders on offense going 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

Alli Watson (1-4) was given the loss for the game despite only pitching for 1/3 of an inning. She allowed two hits and five runs. Simper allowed six hits, six runs, two earned and struck out one.

Erin Combs pitched all five innings for Madonna, allowing nine hits and three runs, striking out two.

The Warriors are back at Havenhurst Park in New Haven, Ind. on Apr. 19 for a WHAC match-up with Cornerstone. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
