Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ADRIAN, Mich. – After heavy rains forced the team to travel, the Indiana Tech softball team couldn't extend its win streak, dropping a pair of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference games to Siena Heights, 3-0 and 13-8 at Christensen Field on Saturday.

The Warriors fall to 4-13 overall and 2-4 in the WHAC while the Saints move to 13-7 in 2014 and 4-2 in conference action.

GAME 1 | TECH 0, SHU 3 |

Tori Simper (3-5) was the tough luck loser in game one as she allowed just three runs on seven hits over six innings, however, her counterpart, Katie O'Hotzke (11-5) permitted just three Tech hits in seven innings of work.

The Warriors threatened in the top of the first as Bailey Dembinski drew a leadoff walk and Jessica Cotton delivered a two-out double, but a ground out ended the inning. Simper then pitched around a leadoff single and a one-out walk to strand two runners in the bottom of the frame.

Tech stranded another runner at third base in the top of the second and after a stranding their fourth runner of the game in the third, the Saints took the lead. A pair of hits and a sacrifice fly gave SHU all the runs they needed, leading 2-0. Another run on two hits in the sixth completed the 3-0 loss for Tech.

Dembinski finished the contest 0-for-1 with three walks while Patrice Suplicki recorded two of the team's three hits in the contest, finishing 2-for-3.

GAME 2 | TECH 8, SHU 13 |

Offense wasn't the issue in game two as the teams' combined for 21 runs and 27 hits, with Tech scoring eight runs on 12 hits, while the Saints scored 13 runs on 15 hits and two Warrior errors.

Tech got off to a good start, scoring the first run of the contest in the top of the second as Cotton led off with a double and came around to score on Hanna Foltz's RBI groundout.
Jenevie Rivas cruised through the first two innings in the circle for the Warriors, but ran into trouble in the third as a two-out walk got things started for the Saints, as three consecutive hits, including back-to-back doubles, plated three runs for Siena Heights, giving them a 3-1 lead.

Both offenses took off from there as the Orange and Black tallied two more runs on the fourth on three hits. Juliaclare Plezbert led off with a single and scored on Cotton's double. Rivas followed with an RBI single to plate Cotton on tie the score. SHU answered back though with five runs in the bottom half, belting out four hits and taking advantage of two Tech errors which led to all the runs being unearned.

In the fifth, Tech got four more runs on six hits and it all started with a leadoff double by Kayla Feeney. Dembinski followed with an RBI single and scored two batters later on a one-out RBI single by Plezbert. Cotton, Rivas and Alli Watson then followed with three consecutive singles to score two more runs, aided by a Saints error to cut the deficit to one, 8-7.

The Saints offense added two more in the bottom of the fifth and three in the sixth to push the lead to 13-7. The Warriors tried to rally in the seventh as Plezbert led off with a triple and scored on a one-out, groundout by Rivas, but that was the last run the Warriors scored in the 13-8 loss.

Rivas (1-3) took the loss, for the Warriors as she allowed eight runs, three earned, on seven hits over 3 2/3 innings. Watson allowed five runs on eight hits in two innings while Katie Bird tossed a perfect 1/3 of an inning.

Morgan Warfield (1-1) got the win as she allowed six runs, five earned, on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings.

Tech's offense was paced by a pair of 3-for-4 games from Plezbert and Cotton with each scoring three times and driving in one.

The Warriors continue WHAC play tomorrow, Apr. 6 when they travel to Sylvania, Ohio for a doubleheader against Lourdes. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
