Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech softball team struggled offensively in a pair of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference losses to Lourdes at Pacesetter Park on Saturday. The Gray Wolves took game one 8-0 and game two, 15-0.

With the loss, Tech is now 4-15 overall and 2-6 in WHAC play while Lourdes improves to 10-10 on the season and 4-4 in conference play.

GAME 1 | TECH 0, LOURDES 8 |

The Warriors were held to just two hits in the opening game of the twin-bill while the home team belted out 10 hits in the win.

Tech's best chance to score came in the top of the fourth when Juliaclare Plezbert singled for the Warriors second hit, reaching third on a pair of wild pitches and Jenevie Rivas drew a one-out walk to put runners on the corners. A pop up and a fielder's choice then ended the threat and the game.

The Gray Wolves plated two runs in the first and three more each in the second and third for the 8-0 win. Tech did aid them with two errors.

Tori Simper (3-6) took the loss for the Warriors while Katie Bird and Alli Watson each pitched in relieve for Tech while Casey Cherry got the win for Lourdes with five innings of two hit ball.

Kayla Feeney and Plezbert each recorded a hit while Plezbert also reached on a hit-by-pitch.

GAME 2 | TECH 0, LOURDES 15 |

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Warriors again tallied just two hits while allowing 15 in five innings.

The home team got on the board first, scoring seven runs on seven hits and an error in the second inning and the Warriors had an opportunity to answer back as Rivas reached on an error and Kylie Hill walked with one out. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch but a fly out and groundout ended the frame.

Tech's first hit came in the top of the fourth on a two-out single by Feeney, but couldn't get anymore and Lourdes added on in the bottom of the inning with eight more runs on seven hits and two errors.

The visitors finished with two hits and three errors while the home team tallied 15 runs on 15 hits and an error.

Watson (0-3) took the loss while Rivas, Bird and Simper each pitched in relief for Tech. Kasey Graham got the win allowing two hits, coming off the bat of Feeney and Rivas, in five innings.

The Warriors return to the field on Saturday, Apr. 12 when they travel to Dearborn, Mich. to face UM-Dearborn for a WHAC doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
