Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Jessica Zurcher scored the first goal for the Warriors in 2014, but it wasn't enough as the Indiana Tech women's soccer team fell to Trinity Christian, 4-1 in Palos Heights on Wednesday.

The Warriors (0-2) were able to get pressure on the offensive end right away, however, a miscommunication in transition led to the first goal of the contest as Rachael Webb gave the Trolls (1-1) the 1-0 advantage at the 2:30 mark. Tech was able to maintain possession and keep pressure on the offensive end but couldn't break through and a Tech foul inside the penalty area gave Webb a penalty kick, which she converted to make it 2-0.

The Trolls tallied another goal in the 31st minute before Zurcher got the Warriors on the board, scoring from the top of the 18-yard box in the 35th minute, making it 3-1 at the half.

Tech continued to pepper the net in the second half, but couldn't find the back of the net. Webb finished the scoring with her third goal of the contest in the 77th minute.

TCC outshot Tech 19-11 for the contest, including an 8-4 margin in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Bre Wojnarowski made four saves in the contest while Jacey Dolence made three for the Trolls.

"I'm disappointed in our effort today," said Tech Head Coach Jim Lipocky. "We must accept our mistakes and fix them or we'll never improve."

The Warriors return to action on Friday, Sept. 5 when they travel to Marion, Ind. to take on Indiana Wesleyan with kickoff scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
