BRIEF: The Indiana Tech softball team got their first win of the season, defeating Grand View 2-1 in the second game of the twin-bill on Sunday after being no-hit in game one. Jamie Kilps got the first win of the year while Bailey Dembinski drove in the winning run.
 
FLOW:
GAME 1
- The Vikings got a two-run home run in the first
- A sacrifice fly put Grand View up three
- GVU got another run in the fifth and two in the sixth for the final margin
- Tech had five baserunners but couldn't get the hit they needed
 
GAME 2
- Dembinski led off with a walk and scored on a Sophia Johantgen sacrifice bunt and a pair of GVU errors
- The Vikings tied the game with one hit in the fourth
- Alli Watson scored the winning run in the seventh on a Dembinski RBI single
 
HIGHLIGHTS
- Dembinski stole the show, collecting two of Tech's three hits, scoring once and driving in a run
- Hannah Foltz collected the other Warrior hit
- Tori Simper got the win, allowing one run on three hits in five innings, striking out six against one walk
- Jamie Kilps pitched well too, allowing two hits in 3.1 innings of relief between the two games
