BRIEF: The fourth-seeded Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team bounced back from their opening loss at the National Women's Lacrosse League national tournament in a big way, defeating the eighth-seeded Eagles of Reinhardt 21-9 on Friday. Tech used a 13-4 first half and six goals from freshman Kristina Scott to seal the win.

FLOW:
Things didn't start the way the Warriors would have like as the Eagles scored the game's first goal just 31 seconds into the game, but Lauren Allard connected with Scott on back-to-back goals to put the Warriors in front 2-1. An RU goal tied the score and Scott then put Tech back in front. A man-down goal by RU even the score again, but the Warriors responded with seven unanswered goals, including a hat trick from first-year player Nicole Price, for a 10-3 lead. The Eagles ended the run with another man-down goal, but junior Alexa Winter (Price), Scott and freshman Britney Schafer (Tayler Campbell) add three more tallies for the Orange and Black to make it 13-4 at the break.

The Eagles cut the lead to six early in the second half with a trio of unanswered goals, but Scott (Allard) and Winter (Sam Vikstrom) each scored to extend the lead. After another RU goal, the Warriors scored six in a row, two each from Alexis DiGiovanni and Campbell to make it 21-8. A goal in the final minute from the Eagles accounted for the final margin of victory.

IN THE NUMBERS:
