KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana Tech baseball team will be playing in the NAIA Opening Round for the third consecutive season, and eighth time overall in the format, and is headed to Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama for the 2018 edition of the Opening Round as a number three seed as the national office released the official list of qualifiers and brackets Thursday.
The Warriors will face off with No. 2-seeded Webber International, the tournament champion of The Sun Conference in their opening game of the Montgomery Bracket on Monday, May 14 at 3 p.m. CDT from Harrison Field. Tech holds a 12-14 record all-time in Opening Round play and is in a loaded bracket with No. 1-seeded and host Faulkner, No. 4-seeded Talladega and No. 5-seeded LSU Alexandria along with Webber International. The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season champions will play their second game of the double-elimination bracket Tuesday at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m. CDT, depending on the result of their first game.
