FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Jack Ferguson was named an NAIA Baseball Second Team All-American, the NAIA announced on Thursday.
 
The junior catcher was sensational for the Indiana Tech baseball team hitting in the middle of the order en route to an NAIA Opening Round Appearance. Ferguson started in 57 games, hitting .358 with 15 home runs and 70 RBI. He reached base in over half of his plate appearances, good for an on-base percentage of .504. 31 of Ferguson's 67 hits went for extra bases. His slugging percentage of .690 led the team.
 
He also made a tremendous impact defensively. Shifting from infielder to catcher, Ferguson had a fielding percentage of .986. He threw out 16 of the potential 46 base stealers this season.
