Warriors Wrap Up Inaugural WHAC Rocket League Slate

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech esports team wrapped up its inaugural Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Rocket League schedule Sunday with a 3-0 win over Lawrence Tech. The Warriors also defeated Cleary University and Concordia University on October 21 and 13, 3-1, and 3-0, respectively, while falling to Aquinas College 3-2 on Oct. 14.
 
Tech currently sites in second place with a 9-3 mark and a game behind Aquinas and only a couple of teams have games remaining in their schedule for the regular season standings, so both teams are locked into their positions. The inaugural WHAC Tournament will be held at Aquinas College November 20 with all seven teams making the field and the Warriors holding the number two seed. The format will be a double-elimination tournament with best-of-five matches until the grand finals, which will be a best-of-seven.
 
Nathanael Wertz recorded five goals, three assists and four saves vs. Concordia while Brendan Miller had four goals, four assists and four saves.
 
Against Aquinas A.J. Shinn led the way with three goals, two assists and five saves, while Bub had 11 saves, three goals and three assists.
 
Wertz notched seven goals, two assists and four saves against Cleary while Miller had three goals, five assists and nine saves.
 
In the regular season finale against LTU, Miller had five goals and three saves while Shinn made five assists to go along with three assists and a goal.
