Warriors Add Kaitlin Cockcroft to Coaching Staff

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Kaitlin Cockcroft has joined the Indiana Tech softball program as an assistant coach for the 2021-22 year, head coach Stephanie Zimny announced. She will begin her official duties July 6.

Originally from Clermont, Florida, Cockcroft joins the Warriors after playing at fellow NAIA member Webber International University (Fla.) for the last five seasons, where she finished her career with a .303 batting average, .350 on-base percentage, 110 hits and a .968 fielding percentage.

"Coming from an NAIA program that is one of the top 25 schools in the nation annually I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience of what it takes to be successful in the NAIA to Indiana Tech," Cockcroft said.

A four-time team captain for the Warriors, she helped the team captured The Sun Conference regular season title this past season while finishing as the runners-up in the TSC Tournament. As a senior in 2020 she hit three home in three consecutive at-bats against Siena Heights University and Indiana Wesleyan University on March 4.

Cockcroft was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year at Lake Minneola High School and garnered Offensive Player of the Year honors as a senior.

She graduated from Webber International with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management in May 2020 and completed her Masters of Sports Business Management in May 2021.
