FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech track team continued their season by hosting the Strive for Greatness Invitational at the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The men's team had ten runners finish in the top three of their respective events.
David Slick and
Parrish Smith went one, two in the 60-meter with times of 6.92 and 6.96.
Michael Williams,
Brice Taylor, and
David Slick took all three podium spots in order with times of 21.96, 22.01, and 22.03 in the 200-meter.
Michael Warner took the top spot in the 400, clocking a time of 49.23, followed by
Eric Pullum in third with a 49.88.
Ngor Agwick won the 800-meter for Tech, finishing in 2:00.11.
Isaac Sytsma topped the podium for the 3000-meter crossing the line with a time of 8:54.07.
Javon Sanders finished second in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.13.
Shomari Somerville finished second in the High Jump, clearing 2.01m.
Joshua Ballard finished third in the Long Jump as he hit the 7.06m mark.
Shomari Somerville and
Donovan Henderson were the top two finishers in the Triple Jump with 14.74m and 14.43m marks. All top three finishers for the Warriors did so while meeting the NAIA A Standard mark.
The Track team takes a break for the Holiday season but will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, for the Commodore Challenge on January 13.
