| Box Score 2 ADRIAN, Mich./FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The No. 5-ranked Indiana Tech women's ice hockey team earned a hard-fought split with one of the best programs in the country this weekend against the No. 3-ranked Adrian Bulldogs.

The first contest was held on Friday night at Adrian. Tech was out-shot by a large margin, 38-18. The Bulldogs would score one in the first period and twice in the second. It was Megan Yakiwchuk who broke the seal for the Warriors with a third period goal, but it wasn't enough as they would drop the contest by a final score of 3-1. Izzy Varner made 35 saves on the night. 

The Warriors looked much more comfortable on their home ice on Saturday. The game was scoreless after one period. The second period however, belonged to the Warriors, especially Ashley Episcopo. She scored the first two goals of the game, both unassisted, before Izzy Pettem-Shand would score her 15th of the season off of the assist from Lauren Younker, taking a 3-1 lead into the final period. The Warriors were unable to put any points on the board, and the Bulldogs would score twice, knotting the game up at the end of regulation, and the game would head to overtime. It was the team's leading goal-scorer, Megan Yakiwchuk, who had the ice in her veins and connected on a snipe that would send the Bulldogs home, with Indiana Tech taking the win, 4-3, and the season series, three games to one. 

Indiana Tech improves to 19-7-1 on the season, and will look ahead to this weekend, as they'll take part in what will be a jam-packed weekend at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse, taking on the Aquinas Saints (6-15-2, 3-8-1 CCWHA) after the WHAC Tournament contest that takes palce at 5:00 PM.
