FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech baseball team was well represented on the list of regular season honors and awards as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released the 2022 honors Thursday in conjunction with the ongoing conference tournament in Lima, Ohio and Adrian, Michigan.
Hayes Sturtsman was named to the All-Conference First-Team while
Mike Snyder,
Jayden Reed,
Manuel Ascanio and
Ashtin Moxey garnered spots on the All-Conference Second-Team.
Trevor Patterson and Reed were named to the WHAC Gold Glove Team. It's Snyder's second time garnering a spot on the All-Conference Team and Patterson's second straight Gold Glove honor.
The Warriors had 12 student-athletes,
Jacob Daftari,
Luis Diaz,
Jared Maxfield,
Alex Mitchell,
Austin Mitchell,
Micah O'Donnell,
Tristan Osika, Reed,
Spencer Strobel, Sturtsman and
Ryan Troxel, named to the WHAC All-Academic Team while
Michael Oliger was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team.
Members of the All-AcademicTeam must be a junior or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA while those on the Champions of Character Team best represent the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
