Warriors Drop Conference Opener to Blue Devils

Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team opened up conference play on Saturday night in Southfield, Michigan when they traveled to Lawrence Tech University, where they would fall to the Blue Devils by a final score of 3-0.
 
Lawrence Tech was on the attack right from the start, firing off four shots in the first six minutes of the game. After racking up three saves through the first 30 minutes of action, Indiana Tech goalkeeper Michaela Bitle was finally beaten off a Lawrence Tech goal following a corner kick. The Blue Devils would add a second goal eight and a half minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Just over two minutes into the second half Lawrence Tech would get their third of the match to shutdown any chance of a Warrior comeback. The Orange & Black would play a scrappy second half but could not generate any good chances on goal. Georgina Palos Noguer would lead the efforts on the attack for the Warriors, registering two shots in the match, while Bitle would finish with eight saves in the loss.
 
Indiana Tech starts WHAC play at 0-1-0 and falls to 2-5-0 overall. The Warriors will face off with Concordia University on Wednesday, September 27th at 3pm in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
