FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Tech's
Crew Gibson was named the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Basketball Defender of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Gibson helped the Warriors to two wins this week, defeating Concordia 71-51 on Wednesday and Cornerstone 87-72 on Saturday. The sophomore from Floyds Knobs, Indiana, would average 12 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game this week, making his presence felt on the defensive end of the floor. He would also add 13.5 points per game shooting 50% from the field and five assists per game for the Orange & Black.
Tech will begin their postseason run on Thursday, February 27, as they host the winner of the #8 vs. #9 match-up between Aquinas and Cleary. Tip-off in the Schaefer Center is set for 7:00 p.m.
