HOWELL, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's golf teams were back in action on Friday as they traveled to Howell, Michigan, to compete in the Cleary University Invitational at the Chemung Hills Golf Club. While there, the women's team would fire a 377-team score for a fourth-place finish. The men's side would finish third with 305.
The women's team was led by Elin Gebrowsky, who carded an 84 for a third-place finish. Andrea Aizpurua finished eighth overall with an 87 on the scorecard. Rounding out the scores for the Warriors were Mackensy Mabie and Gia DeProsperis with scores of 94 and 112, respectively.
On the men's team, Tech was led by Ashton Hoffbauer, whose two-under round of 70 was good enough for a second-place finish. Miguel Gonzalez Sanchez would also finish in the top five, tying for third with a 73. Ruben Mate came in next for Tech, firing a 79 in his round. Logan Keller was Tech's fourth score with an 83.
The men are back in action on September 22 and 23 for the WHAC Fall Preview, while the women will wait an extra week for their Fall Preview on September 29 and 30.
