FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's track teams hosted their second meet of the indoor season on Friday. The Warriors would record two new class records, five new program top ten all-time marks, seven event wins, and 32 individual personal records at the meet.
Meet highlights:
Men:
- Ephesians Pittman finished second in the 60m finals with a time of 6.82 seconds, while Daiveon Gayle-Woodley won the 200m race in 22.14 seconds
- The Warriors would go one, two, three in the 400m dash with Gayle-Woodley leading the way with a NAIA 'B' standard 48.71 seconds, followed by Kehan Kumarasiri (49.72) and Dana Walker (50.55)
- Waval Davis would win the 1000m race in 2:32.65 and Lyonell Castillo would finish third in 2:34.48
- Javion Westfield won the 60m hurdles and hit an NAIA 'A' standard with a time of 8.00 seconds. Jackie Saye (8.18) and Rodnico Carrington (8.21) would finish second and third as the Warriors claimed the top five spots in the race
- Jacob Kavicky picked up a 'B' standard and second place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 18.34m, while McKale Hood jumped 2.01m in the high jump to take third place
- Jayden Packer took second in pole vault with a mark of 4.65m, while Norman Robert and Carter Huntsman took third with a 4.50m mark
- Rodrigo Davis jumped to a NAIA 'B' standard in the long jump, finishing in second place with a mark of 7.21m, four Warriors would place in the top six
- Shawn Wilhite won the triple jump with a mark of 14.58m, hitting a 'B' standard in the process. Robert Vaughn was second in the event with a mark of 14.11m and Alexander Lopez was third with a 13.92m jump
Women:
The Warriors will compete next at the Crossroads of America Invitational on January 23
rd and 24
th in Indianapolis, Indiana and the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic in Allendale, Michigan on January 23
rd.
