FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Viviana Rodriguez, K'Leigh Davis, Zach Spisz, Michelle Farrell, Jayden Packer, and Daiveon Gayle-Woodley were named Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday, as both track teams swept the awards this week and both lacrosse grabbed defensive player of the week honors.

The men's and women's track teams swept all four awards with Rodriguez and Packer earning WHAC Field Athlete of the Week honors and Davis and Gayle-Woodley earning WHAC Track Athlete of the Week honors. Viviana Rodriguez moved up to #4 on Tech's all-time list in the pole vault after hitting a NAIA B standard mark of 3.70m, finishing third at the Blizzard Buster meet hosted by Miami Ohio. K'Leigh Davis helped lead the women's 4x100m relay team to a second place finish and a NAIA B standard with a time of 47.10. She was also fifth in the 100m dash at the meet running it in 11.98. Jayden Packer broke the sophomore class record on his way to winning the pole vault with a NAIA B standard mark of 4.85m and moved into fourth on Tech's all-time list. Daiveon Gayle-Woodley had the standout performance of the meet, hitting a NAIA A standard to qualify for nationals in the 400m dash, winning the event with a time of 47.11.

Men's and women's lax claimed both WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honors as Spisz earned his second award of the season on the men's side and Farrell won on the women's side. Zach Spisz had five caused turnovers and an insane 14 ground balls in two dominant Warrior wins over Siena Heights and Michigan-Dearborn. Michelle Farrell had four caused turnovers, six ground balls, eight draw controls, five goals, and two assists in an all-around effort helping Tech pick up two wins over #10 Marian and Bethel.

Conference player of the week awards are released every Monday throughout the school year.
