FORT WAYNE, Ind. –
Colton Leatherman,
Savannah Bravo,
Zach Spisz, and
Nolan Bosley were named Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Colton Leatherman was named WHAC Pitcher of the Week after two strong outings for the Warriors. The Rockford, Michigan native pitched 4.1 innings in relief, throwing four strikeouts, while allowing just one run and three hits. He would pick up a massive save against #2 ranked Georgia Gwinnett and a win against Georgetown in a 3-0 week for Tech.
Savannah Bravo had an unbelievable week to earn her WHAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. The senior from Arroyo Grande, California started three games and appeared in four, earning three wins, while throwing 33 strikeouts and allowing just four earned runs over 24 innings pitched. The week was highlighted by her 11-strikeout no-hitter against Grace College (which was a defensive error away from a perfect game)!
Zach Spisz was named Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring the Warriors defense against #7 William Penn and (RV) Saint Ambrose. Spisz caused three turnovers and had five ground balls, while also scoring a goal against SAU.
Nolan Bosley earned Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week honors after recording 89 assists in two games for the Warriors. The senior averaged 9.89 assists per set, while also recording 15 digs and six blocks on the week.
Conference player of the week awards are released every Monday throughout the school year.
