@INTECHICE_D1 Tie MSU Three Times Before Falling 4-3

Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 Ice Hockey team traded punches with Michigan State University tying the game three times before coming out on the short end of a 4-3 game. The Warriors' power play connected for a pair of goals as Tech played the Spartans even the final two frames, while out-shoting them for the contest, 33-30.

Quentin Holmes scored 50 seconds into the second period to tie the game at 1-1. Kyle Cobb scored on the power play later in the second period to again tie the game- this time at 2 apiece. Cobb's tally was assisted by Jake Henrikson and Cameron Dimmitt.

Steve Klisz then tied the game at 3-3 via the power play just under six minutes into the final period. Holmes earned the only assist on Klisz's goal for a two-point night for the converted forward.

MSU tallied midway through the final stanza to take a 4-3 lead and the Warriors couldn't find the fourth equalizer.

John Slavik faced 30 shots and registered 26 saves in his return to action.

Tech will complete a home-and-home with MSU Saturday with 2:30 p.m. start in East Lansing.
