@INTECHICE_D1 Offensive Output Stalls at MSU

Box Score EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 Ice Hockey team found itself in a battle once again with Michigan State University. Down just a goal entering the final period, the Warriors were unable to match the Spartan attack that registered 19 third-period shots on their way to a 3-0 win.

"Our compete-level was there today, we just had too many one-and-done attempts in their zone," said head coach Frank DiCristofaro.

"We needed to maintain more offensive zone time against this team- that won a national championship the year before last."

Only three shots separated the teams heading into the third period, but the Spartan barrage ended up totaling 42 shots on Tech goaltender Zach Larson.

Tech will play its second-consecutive home-and-home series next weekend with three games on tap. The Warriors will travel to Allendale, Mich. Friday, Dec. 12 to face Grand Valley State University at 9 p.m. before coming home to face GVSU at the SportOne IceHouse Saturday, Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m. The following day, the Warriors will make their debut at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum for a 12:30 p.m. Sunday matchup Dec. 14 against Western Michigan University.
