FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team opens up a two-game road trip on Saturday when they head to Southfield, Michigan for a WHAC matchup with Lawrence Tech.

Last Time Out: The Warriors fell to sixth-ranked UHOH, 6-2, on Wednesday evening at Warrior Athletic Field. The Racers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead just 49 seconds into the game and never looked back, scoring four times in the opening half.
Brennan Cochran scored his team-leading eighth goal off a penalty kick in the second half, while
Zachary St. Aubin also scored.
Head Coach David Bokhart: Now in his fifth season as the head coach of the Warriors,
David Bokhart sports a record of 39-33-9. During his tenure, Bokhart has coached 16 WHAC Academic All-Conference honorees, 9 All-Conference selections, 6 NAIA Scholar-Athlete recipients and one NAIA All-American and Conference Defensive Player of the Year (Mark Baptist).
Scouting the Opposition: Lawrence Tech – The Blue Devils had their four-match unbeaten streak broken on Wednesday when they lost to Lourdes, 1-0. Seven players have recorded at least two goals this year, with Kevin Wright and Tyler Winningham leading the way with four apiece. Matt Gibiec leads the team in assists with five, while Joey Knoff has a 1.57 goals against average, 12 saves and two shutouts in over 570 minutes of game action.
Series Notes: Lawrence Tech – The Warriors are 3-0 since 2012 against the Blue Devils and have only given up one goal in 270 minutes of game time. The Orange and Black shutout Lawrence Tech, 1-0, last year in Fort Wayne.
Getting it done in the Classroom: Indiana Tech was recognized with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award on Sept. 23 after obtaining a 3.01 composite grade point average for the 2014-15 academic year. The Team Academic Award is awarded annually to soccer programs whose student-athletes have excelled in the classroom. It is the seventh time that the men's team has received the honor and the first under Bokhart. Tech was one of only two men's teams in the WHAC to be recognized.
Flying Many Flags: This year's Warriors squad is represented by nine different countries and four continents. Tech features players from Germany, Ireland, England, Portugal, Brazil, South Africa, Austria and Canada in addition to the United States.
Making His Presence Felt: Freshman
Brennan Cochran has made an immediate impact on the pitch for the Orange and Black, starting all eight games and leading the team in goals (eight) and points (16). The Auburn, Indiana native ranks first or second in the WHAC leaders in: points (second), points per game (tied for second), goals (second), goals per game (tied for first), shots per game (second) and shots on goals per game (first). Nationally he ranks tied for ninth in shots on goal per game (2.88), tied for 11
th in shots per game (4.88) and tied for 17
th in goals per game (1.0) and finds himself in the top-50 in three other categories.
