Last Time Out: Tech lost its GLCHL opener to Western Michigan on Sept. 29 in Kalamazoo, 4-2, in the inaugural "Battle of I-69". Jace Childs and Adam Jonak each recorded goals, while Jonak added an assist on Childs goal. Jarrett Pfeiffer, Ryan Attwood and Joe Molfetta also picked up assists.

Head Coach Frank DiCristofaro: The first head coach in program history, Frank DiCristofaro is in his second season at the helm of the Warriors. In his first season as coach, DiCristofaro led the team to an 8-25-1 record while playing as an independent in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Prior to Tech, DiCristofaro was at Wayne State University, where he helped the 2013-14 team to number 10 spot in the North Region rankings. In 2012-13, DiCristofaro helped guide the Warriors to a 14-12-3 record. Prior to his arrival at Wayne State, he helped guide the St. Clair Shores Unified High School Hockey team to five league titles and two State Regional Championships. He has developed several players that have moved on to the Junior, Collegiate, and Professional levels. DiCristofaro is also a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach and a member of the ACHA.

Scouting the Opposition: Eastern Michigan – The Eagles come to Fort Wayne looking for their first win of the season, having dropped their first four contests. Michael Salata, Matthew Passino and Zachary Willis all have one goal apiece to lead the team. Sando Arapovic has seen the majority of time in the crease, starting three games while recording a 3.67 goals against average (GAA) and a .911 save percentage.

Series Notes: Eastern Michigan – This is the second all-time meeting between the two teams, with the Eagles taking the first matchup, 5-2, at the Michigan-Dearborn Invitational last season. Matt Walton scored the first goal for the Warriors, while Jarrett Pfeiffer picked up an assist on the second goal.

Quick Starts: Three Warriors have recorded multi-goal games through the first three games of the season. Jace Childs and Joe Molfetta each scored two apiece in the season-opener on Sept. 18, while Ryan Theisen notched two as well in Tech's first victory on Sept. 19. Childs also picked up three assists in the first series of the year and leads Tech with seven points, while Theisen is right behind with four.

Sharing the Wealth: Over half of the Tech roster (13 out of 23) has recorded at least one point through three games this season. Jace Childs leads the team in goals with four, while Ryan Theisen and Joe Molfetta have three and two goals, respectively. Jarrett Pfeiffer has notched four assists to lead the Warriors, while Childs and Adam Jonak have three apiece.

No Easy Skating: Indiana Tech will have its work cut out for them as they begin conference play. Four of the nine GLCHL teams: Adrian (seventh), Davenport (12th), Michigan-Dearborn (17th) and Oakland (23rd), are all ranked in the latest ACHA Top 25 Poll. Kent State and Western Michigan also received votes in the poll. The GLCHL is tied with the Eastern States Collegiate Hockey League (ESHL) for the second-most teams in the poll, while the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSLCHL) and Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL) each led the way with five teams apiece.
