th-ranked Indiana Tech ACHA Division 1 men's ice hockey team opened play at the Robert Morris (Ill.) Showcase on Friday evening with a 3-2 overtime loss to Robert Morris (Pa.) at the Edge Ice Arena.

Tech would get on the board first in the first period thanks to a goal from
Nick Papandrea, but the Colonials would get one back to knot it up after 20 minutes of play. Robert Morris would add a second goal in the second and held the lead until the 6:35 mark of the third as
Taylor Jones powered one past the Colonial netminder to tie things up at two.
Neither side could break the tie in regulation as the Warriors found themselves in just their second overtime contest of the season, but RMU would come out on top with the game-winner from Steven Ralston.
Tech (10-3-1) returns to action on Saturday as they face off with Illinois State at 1:30 p.m. from the Edge Ice Arena.
