KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team received at-large berth to the National Women's Lacrosse League (NWLL) and NAIA Championships as the organizations announced the fields on Sunday.
The Warriors are the fifth seed in both tournaments and will open play against fourth-seeded and Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) co-champion Davenport, whom the Orange and Black shared the regular season title with.
Tech opens the NWLL National Championship on Thursday in Grand Rapids. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. from the DU Turf Field. The Orange and Black will play on Friday, regardless of the outcome of Thursday's contest, at either 12 p.m. (consolation bracket) or 5 p.m. (semifinal). The NAIA National Invitational will take place May 4-7 in Greenville, South Carolina. Women's Lacrosse is in the first year of a two-year process towards becoming an NAIA National Championship sport. Tech, who got the third at-large bid, will face off with the Panthers for the fourth time this season on May 4 at 7 p.m. from Sirrine Stadium.
