FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 18-ranked Indiana Tech baseball team will open postseason play on Sunday as they take on Concordia in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament as the conference announced the six qualifiers and official bracket for the 2017 tournament.
Tech finished the conference schedule with a 25-6 record to earn the third seed in the tournament, the 10
th straight year the Warriors have qualified for the WHAC Tournament. Concordia finished the season two games behind with a 23-8 mark in WHAC games.
The two teams will face off at 6 p.m. on Sunday, the third game of opening day, at Mercy Field in Toledo, Ohio. Both sides are guaranteed a second game in the double elimination tournament, with the winner of the Tech-CUAA game playing at 9 a.m. against the winner of Davenport and Madonna at St. Rita's Sports Complex in Lima, Ohio, while the loser will take on the winner of Cornerstone vs. top-seeded University of Northwestern Ohio at 12 p.m. in Lima.
