The boys are back after having a week off for Thanksgiving. The Warriors currently see themselves on an 8-game win streak. During that streak, the team has registered 49 goals and only given up 15 goals. The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference began to give out its weekly player of the week awards and a few Warriors were honored. Freshman goaltender, Bryson Linenburg has been awarded "Defensive Player of the Week" twice so far this season. Another freshman who has had an outstanding year so far, Joel Holmberg, was awarded the first "Offensive Player of the Week" award this season. Holmberg also leads the team in goals with 13. Most recently, 5^th year senior Jarrett Pfeiffer won the "Offensive Player of the Week" award for his 5-goal weekend against Concordia University.


The Orange and Black are rolling into this final weekend of the first half with payback on their minds. The Warriors take on Lawrence Tech who split the weekend series the last time they faced off. Both teams have improved since the last time they met back in October. The Warriors are looking for some revenge, especially with the Tech Challenge Cup on the line. The team who wins the most games against the other wins the Tech Challenge Cup. This year the two teams play each other 6 times. Indiana Tech currently has the Cup because they beat Lawrence Tech 3 out of the 4 times they met last year. The boys would love to keep that trophy in their locker room for another year.


The Warriors play a home-and-home series this weekend. Friday night Tech travels to Detroit to face the Blue Devils looking to extend the win streak. Puck drop is currently scheduled for 9 P.M. at the Southfield Ice Arena. Saturday the boys are back on home ice to finish off the first half of the season.
