The Warrior Wraparound #12: The Boys Are Back

The boys are back! After a long Christmas break, the Indiana Tech Warriors hit the ice once again this weekend. The team reported back on January 7th and began to practice. The first week back focused on everyone getting their legs back underneath them, knock the rust of the hands, and shed some of that holiday weight. The second week back included a couple off-ice workouts and more on-ice skating to get a good flow back. This past week consisted more of systems work and fine-tuning some of the aspects of the game that the Warriors struggled with in the first half.

Everyone, including the coaching staff, training staff, and players are extremely excited to get back to playing games. The Warriors take on Lawrence Tech once again this weekend, Friday and Saturday on the road. Friday night's game is a WHAC game and Saturday is an NAIA tilt. This will be the final time the two teams will meet in the regular season. The Orange and Black hold the season series lead 3-1 and won the Tech Challenge Cup back in December. Sunday, Tech travels to Kalamazoo, Michigan to face Western Michigan University. The Broncos came into Fort Wayne last semester and beat the Warriors on home ice. That was Indiana Tech's last loss.

Friday night's game is scheduled for a 6:30 P.M. EST puck drop, while Saturday's game is scheduled for 8:00 P.M. EST. Both of these games will be held at Southfield Ice Arena in Southfield, MI. Sunday's contest is scheduled for a 6:00 P.M. start at the Wings West Arena in Kalamazoo, MI. #EarnIT #GoForIT
