FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Former Indiana Tech hockey player
Felix Kronwall has received an invitation to the Fort Wayne Komets training camp, head hockey coach
Frank DiCristofaro confirmed Tuesday.
"We're really happy for Felix," DiCristofaro said. "His approach has always been professional both on and off the ice. He's been a huge part of our program and has helped catapult us to where we are today and I can't thank him enough for that. He's worked really hard to get where he is and I know he will continue to do so."
Kronwall was a member of the Warriors from 2016-19, helping the team win the 2019 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament and the 2019 NAIHA National Tournament, the first postseason championships in program history. The native of Stockholm, Sweden, and nephew of Detroit Red Wings player Niklas Kronwall, earned WHAC All-Academic Team and WHAC Champions of Character honors as a senior last season while recording three goals and eight assists.
The Fort Wayne Komets are members of the ECHL and will embark on their 68
