FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team has released its schedule for the 2023 fall season.
Head Coach
Matt Fishman enters his second year in charge of the program after leading the Warriors to a 28-8 overall record in his first season, the most wins for the program since 2011. Tech would go 14-6 in WHAC play to finish in third during the regular season. In the postseason, the Warriors would make it to the conference tournament championship game, where they would earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in eleven years. Four Warriors would earn WHAC All-Conference honors in 2022, while
Noelle VanOort received NAIA All-American honorable mention honors. Tech would also have nine
WHAC All-Academic Team members, 11 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, and two
WHAC Player of the Week winners.
Tech will start the 2023 season with two tournaments in the first two weekends. The Warriors will compete in the Onset Tournament hosted by the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) on August 18-19
th and the Big Dogs Classic hosted by the University of Saint Francis (Ill.) on August 25-26
th. The Orange and Black will open WHAC play on September 4
th at home against Rochester University (Mich.) before traveling to Lima, Ohio to take on the University of Northwestern Ohio on September 6
th. Tech will host the Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament on September 8-9
th. The Warriors will close out the regular season with two home games against Concordia University (Mich.) on November 1
st and Siena Heights University (Mich.) on November 3
rd. The WHAC Tournament is set for November 8-11
th and the NAIA National Championship will begin on November 18
th.
