Adrian, Mich. - Indiana Tech battled hard on Tuesday night but came up short, falling 3–1 to #5 Adrian College in an MD1 matchup.
The first period was scoreless, with both teams' trading chances but failing to convert. Indiana Tech kept the game tight early, yet Adrian was able outshoot Tech 17-10 through first 20 minutes and holding the Bulldogs off the scoreboard.
Adrian broke the deadlock just 40 seconds into the second period. The Warriors responded at 10:38 with Malik Ali scoring his seventh goal of the season to tie the game 1–1. However, Adrian regained control late in the second, scoring twice in a span of just over two minutes to make it 3–1 heading into the third period.
In the final period Tech could not find the back of the net again. Both teams went scoreless on the power play, and the Warriors were held to 31 shots on goal compared to Adrian's 37.
With the loss, Indiana Tech drops to 6-5-2 on the season, The Warriors will look to rebound in their next matchup against Grand Valley State.
