Softball Receiving Votes in NAIA Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Indiana Tech softball team will head into the 2026 season receiving votes in the national poll as the NAIA released the 2026 Top 25 Preseason Poll on Wednesday.

The Warriors received three points in this year's preseason poll, falling in between British Columbia and Coastal Georgia, after going 30-16 overall last season. This marks just the second time in program history that the Warriors will start the season in the rankings. Madonna is the only other team from the WHAC that is ranked or receiving votes as the Orange & Black are the WHAC's second highest ranked team. The Crusaders come in at #14, receiving 247 points after winning both WHAC titles last year. Southern Oregon opens at No. 1 in the preseason poll after winning last season's national championship, receiving 17 first place votes and 450 points.

The NAIA Preseason Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches representing each conference. Points are tabulated by assigning 30 points to the team a coach ranks first, 29 points to a team a coach ranks second, and so on. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the NAIA.
